Yanhua Mini ACDP Module 8: Unlocking BMW FRM Module Repair Without Coding

 This is a tutorial on how to use Yanhua Mini ACDP Module 8 to repair BMW FRM without coding. Make sure you've got the Module1 or Mini ACDP BMW full package before any operations.

Required Accessories

FRM module

Yanhua Mini ACDP Basic Module

OBD + ICP adapter

20PIN cable

FRM interface adapter

Fixed screws

BDMO1 adapter

Connection

  • Install the fixed screws and FRM interface adapter. Note that the test pins on FRM interface adapter should be aligned with 4 test points. Lock 2 screws.
  • Connect the BDM01 adapter to the OBP+ICP adapter & FRM interface adapter.
  • Connect to ACDP and power up.

      Operation

      Mini ACDP APP >> Confirm in the upper right corner that ACDP connected >> BMW >> FRM >> Select according to the corresponding chip model: ICP MC9S12XEQ384(MASK: 3M25J) >> FRM Data Recovery(Automatic mode)

      Confirm the ACDP device and the adapter are connected properly. Please back up all the data before performing the write operation.

      Press "Confirm".

      Check the chip info read out:

      If 4K EEPROM data is read, the FRM module data is not damaged. Please operate with caution.

      If 32K Dflash data is read, the FRM module data is corrupt.

      Press "Confirm".

      Confirm the backup data path.

      Check the frame number and other info:

      If the parsed car info is incorrect, press "Cancel" to exit automatic repair.

      If the info such as the car correct, press "Confirm".

      Refresh BMW E/F Chassis 8HP ISN with Yanhua Mini ACDP + Module 11

       This is a tutorial on how to use Yanhua Mini ACDP + Module 11 to refresh BMW E/F chassis 8HP ISN. Besides, Module 11 can refresh F chassis 6HP data without welding as well.

      BMW E Chassis 8HP EGS ISN Refresh

      Accessories required:

      BMW EGS module, ACDP main unit, OBP ICP adapter, 8HP interface board, 20 PIN cable.

      Connection:

    2. Install the 8HP interface board, connect the OBP ICP adapter.
    3. Short the CAN resistor on the OBP ICP adapter to the "CAN R JOIN" terminal.
    4. Connect and power up the ACDP host.

        Operation:

        * Please make sure the ACDP host is properly connected.

        Mini ACDP APP>> BMW >> EGS >> 8HP ISN Clear(Supports E Chassis) >> Clear ISN

        Please connect ACDP with vehicle OBD port and ensure enough vehicle battery voltage. Click "Continue".

        Confirm the EGS supports clearing ISN and ISN not cleared, click "Continue".

        Confirm the system programming information, click "Continue".

        It will take about 15 minutes to start programming. Please keep the voltage at least 13.0V during the programming process! Click "Continue".

        EGS module is being programmed…

        ISN data has been cleared successfully.

          1.Remove 2018+ JLR KVM chip

          Apply Yanhua paint remover to the top of the chip and the pins

          After 30 seconds, you will see the protective paint start to peel off

          Install the KVM chip limit board

          Apply Solder paste to the chip pins

          Use the temperature and the airflow adjustable Hot air gun to desolder chip

          Use PCB board clip to secure the chip limit plate

          Use the Air gun height limit board to adjust the of height of the hot air gun, 8m above the chip limit board

          Adjust the air volume to 8 gear

          Adjust the preheating temperature to 250℃

          Start the Hot air gun, keep the temperature at 250℃, preheat for 90 seconds

          After 90 seconds, raise the temperature to 420℃, and heat for 25 seconds

          At this point, use Tweezers to hold one corner of the chip. When the chip is loose, and clip up the chip.

          About 25 seconds, the chip is close, remove the Air gun and clip up the chip.

          Clean the bottom and pins of the chip with Yanhua paint remover

          Then clean the board with the Contact cleaner to avoid corrosion of the board by paint remover

          There is the original plate solder on the pad, please check whether there is short circuit between the board.

          2.Solder 2018+ JLR KVM chip

          Apply the Solder paste to the chip pad

          Install the KVM chip limit board

          Use Clamp to secure the chip limit plate

          Use Yanhua proprietary chips, Yanhua has added solder for the chip pin before delivery

          Gently place the chip into the Chip limit plate

          Please note the chip pin direction

          The dimple on the chip is pin1

          Apply Solder paste to the chip pins and the top of the chip

          Check that the chips are placed correctly

          Use the temperature and the air volume adjustable Hot air gun to below and solder chip

          Adjust the air volume to 8 gear

          Adjust the preheating temperature to 250℃°

          Start the hot air gun, keep the temperature at 250℃, preheat for 90 seconds

          About 25 seconds, please shut down and remove the air gun

          Use the Contact cleaner to clean the solder paste on the chip
